Double-page-spread

There are very little changes that need doing on these pages of my magazine, as I am happy with the results of my pages. I have stuck to the typical narrative structure, yet I have slightly bent the rules on some things.

Production of my magazine #2

Here are examples of the cover and contents page of my product:

I have made some slight changes when editing both my front cover and my contents page. This is because I have been playing around with, effects, colours, fonts and layout to see which looks best and which works better with my genre of magazine.
On my cover I have changed the position of my main photo and I have made some slight changes to font sizes and colour as well as font it-self.
On my contents page, I have near enough changed everything about it. The colours, the fonts and I have re-arranged text and photos.
I will continue to play around with the features used on my cover and contents page in order to produce a better and more 'professional like' magazine.

I will be updating pictures of my steps to show the changes I have made to my magazine and the progress I am making with finishing my product.

Studio Lighting

I have researched different lighting techniques to use in the studio so that the pictures I take of my models have different effects. Here are two that I found the most interesting and which I want to use:

The Butterfly/Clamshell Lighting

It is a soft and "female" key light, directed straight to the model's face, which allows to idealize the skin to a maximum.
The key light is placed right above the eye level, the fill-in one - below the key light. Reflector can also be put from the side. A symmetrical shadow from the nose is formed, which should reach half of the length to the lips.

The Loop Lighting
Loop Lighting helps broaden the face and works very well with narrow faces with ruddy skin. The loop from the nose area should not touch the shadow area on the side of the face. It is the most flattering light scheme. At the same time, it creates a nice three-dimensional effect of model's face and body.

Studio Equipment

The equipment I will have used for my pictures is a Pentax, 12.0 megapixel camera. I am going to use my own camera because it will produce better quality photos so the photos in my magazine look better and more professional. I will also used a tripod so that my photos will be more steady and less blurry. The tripod will make photographing my models easier and more enjoyable. Special studio lights will be used to create a nice effect of light for my models, making them look flawless and making my photos look more professional.
